Terms of Service

Origin provides tools for breed associations to manage members, maintain animal registries, process registration workflows, issue certificates, run reports, and related administrative functions. Features available to you depend on your role, society configuration, and subscription plan.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice of material changes that affect your use of the platform.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@originpedigree.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Society administrators are responsible for inviting users, assigning roles, configuring society settings, and ensuring that members use the platform in accordance with these Terms and applicable association rules.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations;
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent registry or membership information;
• Access data or accounts you are not authorized to access;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law;
• Use the service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content.

Societies and their administrators remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legal compliance of registry records they create, approve, publish, or export through Origin.

Registry, membership, and related data entered into the platform ("Customer Data") is owned by the applicable breed association or its authorized licensors. You grant Bellwether Labs a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and backup Customer Data solely to provide and improve the service.

Members acknowledge that information submitted to a society registry may be visible to authorized administrators and, depending on society settings, to other members. Do not submit information you do not have the right to share.

Certain features require payment by a society or its members. Fees, billing cycles, and payment terms are presented at the time of purchase or in your society's billing settings. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Online member payments processed through third-party providers are subject to those providers' terms. Bellwether Labs is not responsible for payment processor outages or disputes between members and their breed association regarding dues or fees.

The Origin platform, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Bellwether Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or service names except as needed to use the service in accordance with these Terms.

The platform may integrate with or link to third-party services such as payment processors, email providers, or authentication systems. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Bellwether Labs is not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BELLWEATHER LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BELLWEATHER LABS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR REGISTRY RECORDS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO BELLWEATHER LABS FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bellwether Labs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity, including claims related to registry data you submit or approve.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to access the service ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
